PABLO NERUDA.

Pablo Neruda.

This famous poet won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971, and wrote more than 40 books, some of them published after his death.
After publishing some books of poetry, in 1924 he achieved international fame with Twenty love poems and a desperate song, work that, together with Tentative of the infinite man, distinguishes the first stage of his poetic production, marked by the transition from modernism to avant-garde forms influenced by the creationism of Vicente Huidobro.

His international prestige was recognized in 1971, the year in which he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The previous year Pablo Neruda had renounced the presidential candidacy in favor of Salvador Allende, who shortly after appointed him ambassador in Paris.

On September 19, when his health deteriorated, he was rushed from his home in Isla Negra to Santiago. Finally, on September 23, Pablo Neruda dies at 10.30 pm at the Santa María Clinic in Santiago due to prostate cancer.

again, Google reminds us of the date of an illustrious personage, who with his poetry iOncelluminated the conscience of millions.
